Global Lab Updates – 7th June 2024 - BDFoundry (1)Last week, through the Black Desert Research Institute, we announced changes to the number of hits for class skills, an overhaul of the accuracy/evasion system, and an overhaul of the damage reduction system.
The information we have introduced is being prepared for application to the official server through modifications and supplements.

Regardless of the amount of data prepared, this task is a very important matter that applies to all adventurers and is the basis of the game system.
We are currently checking more carefully and in depth.
However, we aim to apply it quickly without delay.

Currently, there are some regrets about the lack of content updates and about the node/conquest battles that many people have commented on, but we are reviewing all of them.
Please note that the goal of adjusting the number of hits is to be applied sequentially, starting with Korea.

We will continuously review all aspects that apply along with adjusting the number of hits and respond quickly. thank you

  • The skill accuracy rate of some classes and the accuracy rate of pets/summons have been changed, and the accuracy rate increase/decrease effect has been changed accordingly.
    • The accuracy rate increase effect that all characters gain from using skills has been unified to a maximum of 6%.
      • Accordingly, all characters’ skill accuracy rates have been adjusted. (However, the standards for the maximum number are the same as before.)

Global Lab Updates – 7th June 2024 - BDFoundry (2)As the number of hits and balance adjustments for the class continued, adjustments were also made to combat while riding a horse.
In the case of mounted combat, several skills of the class can be used.
As a result, as time passed and skill reorganization or balance adjustments were made, the detailed balance of horseback combat was too easily broken, and it was decided that balancing horseback combat separately was not the answer.
So, we believe that horseback combat needs a major overhaul.
It’s a big disappointment because I think horseback combat is one of the attractions that can be enjoyed in Black Desert, but it has inevitably been changed so that skills cannot be used on horseback.
It may take time, but in the future, we will be able to present new horseback combat to adventurers in a better way.

It has been changed so that skills other than left-click attacks cannot be activated while riding a horse.

  • Accordingly, the descriptions of related skill controls and effects have changed.

Official Server Bug Fixes

  • [Warrior] Forward Slash, Prime: Forward Slash – The issue where the character would intermittently activate the skill in an abnormal direction when using the skill has been fixed.
  • [Dark Knight] The list of skills that can imprint and explode a mark in the Imperious Command skill has been modified.
    • Accordingly, explanatory text regarding mark creation for existing skills has been removed.
  • [Mystic] Fixed the issue where fighting spirit was abnormally recovered due to the weather effect of Succession: Mystic’s Force during consecutive attacks with the skill Prime: Hidden Claw

Monster Changes

[Dehkia’s Lantern] Cyclops Land

  • The baby gargoyle has been improved to appear in a closer location.
    • Accordingly, the distance at which baby gargoyles can find their target has been reduced by approximately 50% compared to before.
  • Of the five cyclops stone statues, two have been moved to nearby locations.
    • You can also check the changed location through the ‘#Fixed Dehkia’s Lantern Spot’ tag in the hunting ground information.

  • When the territory resource information filter on the world map (M) was activated, colors were added to some territories where the colors were not distinguishable.

Bug Fixes

  • While using the pad-only UI, the following has been modified.
    • The issue where the vehicle transfer UI and key guide overlapped has been fixed.
    • While interacting with an NPC, the key guide placement displayed on the Interest Status UI has been modified so that it does not go beyond the UI.
    • The My Information window has been improved so that you can check information in each area of ​​life.
    • An issue where the directions in the Barter Information UI would point to an abnormal location in certain situations has been fixed.
