NC State Football June Official Visit Tracker for 2025 Class (2024)

Up-to-date tracker for every official visitor NC State is expected to host for the 2025 class.

R. Cory Smith

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Prepare yourselves, June is coming.

Sure, it's not quite as dramatic as the Game of Thrones -- and it's summer, not winter -- but the month of June is going to be a wild one for NC State when it comes to recruiting. Upwards of 30 official visitors are expected to be in Raleigh over the course of 17 days with the Wolfpack coaches, recruiting staff and commits all doing their best to land key prospects in the 2025 class.

Of those recruits, more than 20 are rated as high three-stars (87) or higher with several ranking as four-star prospects. While the Wolfpack is obviously looking to bring in the top talent according to the 247Sports rankings, the coaches also have a clear focus on bringing in players that fit the Pack's system and the culture, regardless of the number attached to their name.

With official visits set to fire up in just over one week on June 7 as the Wolfpack welcomes multiple commits and top targets on campus, here's a breakdown of every official visit expected to take place in June. These names and dates are subject to change and we'll work to have them updated in this story throughout the next several weeks.

June 7-9

Colby Cronk, EDGE, Flagler, Palm Coast, FL (Committed)

Back on March 22, Cronk became the first defensive player to commit to the Wolfpack in the 2024 class. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound edge rusherselected NC State over several other offers including Duke, Wake Forest, Houston, Pittsburgh, Iowa State, USF and others.

Cronk will now not only look to strengthen his relationship with Dave Doeren, Charley Wiles and the rest of the coaching staff, but also serve as a recruiter for the players that aren't committed. With a strong crop of all defensive players from outside of North Carolina, Cronk and the next recruit can serve as anothersounding boardfor the Pack.

Tristan Teasdell, SAF, Tuscarora, Leesburg, VA (Committed)

Just when Teasdell's recruitment was appearing to take off, he decided to shut things down and commit to the Wolfpack back on May 4. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound safety from Virginia earned offers from all over the country including Iowa, Arkansas, Kentucky, Miami, Oklahoma State, TCU, USC, Washington and others before locking in with NC State.

He's since reaffirmed that his commitment, noting that his recruitment is "100% closed" after schools continued to contact him following his announcement. Having a player of Teasdell's caliber -- regardless of what the rankings say right now -- recruiting players is huge for the Pack next weekend.

Cam Strong, CB, TL Hanna, Anderson, S.C.

If you've been tracking NC State's defensive board, you know by now that Cam Strong is near the top of the list when it comes to the cornerbacks in 2025. A DB with a confirmed 5-6 high jump as a sophom*ore and a 23.69 200-meter dash as a track athlete, Strong has the physical tools already to compete at the next level.

At 6-foot, 166 pounds, the South Carolina corner will be a priority for the Pack during the first weekend of official visits. With an official visit locked in the week prior at West Virginia and another at Georgia Tech the following weekend, the Pack will need to make a strong case for Strong to land one of the top DBs on its board.

Makhi Williams-Lee, DL, Lakeside, Atlanta, GA

After earning an offer from the Wolfpack on May 14, Makhi Williams-Lee quickly locked in an official visit and will be on campus less than one month after earning the offer. As his film circulates and he continues to show out in camps -- including earning MVP at the Charlotte Under Armour camp -- his offer list keeps growing with Mississippi State, Memphis, Texas Tech, Kansas, ECU and others jumping in the mix.

NC State is currently the only official visit that Williams-Lee has locked in, so the Pack would love it if that stayed the same in June. Regardless of his future plans, Charley Wiles and Co. will look to make a strong impression and try to get the 6-foot-2, 270-pound flex defensive lineman to lock in with the Pack before he looks elsewhere.

Robert Jones III, ATH, Vero Beach High, FL

Sticking with the trend of defensive players from outside the state of North Carolina -- which is what the entire first weekend will be focused on -- Robert Jones III has been a long-time target for the Pack in the 2025 class. The Vero Beach, Fla. native is listed as an athlete, but the Pack is looking at him primarily as a corner or nickel in its defense.

The Packis slated toget the first official visit with Jones III with UCF and Illinois already locking in officials the following two weekends before he commits on June 29. He also has USF, Kentucky, Miami and Louisville inside his Top 7, but the Bulls are the only schoolwith a Crystal Ball for Jones at this time, despite the lack of an official visit.

Mykah Newton, EDGE, Newberry High, FL

NC State isn't planning on stopping at one high school EDGE recruit after landing Cronk, so bringing in a lineman from two hours away in Newberry, Fla. could lead to a 2-for-1 out of the Sunshine State. Mykah Newton is a 6-foot-2, 255-pound pass rusher who has picked upoffers from Michigan State, Georgia Tech, UCF and several others showing heavy interest.

After tallying 26 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, six QB hurries and three forced fumbles last year as a junior, it's clear Newton can compete against Florida talent. He's also shown out in several Under Armour camps already this spring, don't be surprised if he's on the rise this summer as the Pack looks to lock him down early in the process.

Jayden Shipps, CB, Archbishop Spalding, Severn, MD

Although the Wolfpack has seven cornerbacks slated to officially visit next month, Shipps is at or near the top of its wish list at the position. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back has the Wolfpack inside his Top 7 before his official visit withTennessee,Indiana,Maryland,Wisconsin,VirginiaandSouth Carolinaalso making the cut.

Shipps has an early Crystal Ball to hometown Maryland, but the Pack has multiple defensive backs who have recently transferred from the Terrapins to vouch for why he should come to State. He's a high-three-star prospect, the No. 78 cornerback and 25th-ranked player in Maryland, according to 247Sports.

London Simmons, DL, Hartfield Academy, Flowood, MS

When it comes to players blowing up this spring, London Simmons' name should be at the top of the list. Not only did he pick up offers from Alabama and NC State just days apart, Charley Wiles made it a point to stop in at his school and personally deliver the news before locking in an official visit.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pound linemanhas three official visits scheduled at this time with the Crimson Tide, Wolfpack and Arkansas all in a three-week span. The Pack will get the first official visit, so making a great first impression before he leaves Raleigh for Tuscaloosa and Fayetteville will be key.

Nikolas Alston, DL, Thompson, Alabaster, AL

Another recent offer in the 2025 class, Nikolas Alston picked up an offer from the Wolfpack on April 6 and quickly scheduled an OV for June 7 for what is expected to be his first official. Alston has recently picked up other offers from Minnesota, Washington, Tulane and multiple others, but the Pack appears to be in good position early.

The 6-foot-3, 260-pound lineman currently has 17 offers and NC State was the 14th to jump in the mix, but the fact that he doesn't have any other plans locked in after canceling an OV to Liberty is positive. He'll certainly be one to watch on the first weekend of visits.

Caleb Bell, DL, Milton, Alpharetta, GA

NC State wasted little time prioritizing Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton defensive linemanCaleb Bell. The Wolfpack became the first program to offer him last summer after Bell's stellar performance at one of Dave Doeren's summer camps and has recruited him hard ever since.

Nearly 20 other programs followed suit, which isn't surprising given his strong junior campaign last fall. During the 2023 season, the 6-foot-3, 270-pound Bell totaled 75 tackles, including 10 for loss and 8.5 sacks, 17 quarterback hurries, one pass breakup and an interception, while helping lead the Eagles to a state championship.

Bell hasn't narrowed his list of schools, but said he had the most contact with NC State,Missouri,Arkansas,Georgia Techand SMU. Thus far, he's locked in official visits to Georgia Tech May 31-June 2, State June 7-9, and Arkansas June 14-16.

June 14-16

Connor Howes, OT, Saint Cloud, FL

Earlier this spring, State offered St. Cloud (Fla.) offensive tackleConnor Howesand he quickly became a major priority for the Wolfpack. The interest is mutual, considering Howes recently locked in an official visit June 14-16.

Besides State, the 6-foot-5 1/2, 295-pound Howes will take an official visit to Arkansas on May 31-2. He also mentioned possible June trips toOle MissandFlorida, but dates haven't been finalized.

Gerritt Kemp, WR, Hebron Christian Academy, Dacula, GA

Kemp earned multiple offers last year, but starting January 2024, his recruitment exploded. During a six-week span, he added double-digit offers and his total ballooned to more than 20.

The Wolfpack pulled the trigger in January and immediately prioritized Kemp. Shortly after he was offered by State, Kemp made the trek to Raleigh, and the visit made a strong impression on the Peach State defensive back, especially considering he was able to have a lengthy one-on-one conversation with State head coachDave Doeren.

State's losing two up its top three cornerbacks to graduation at the conclusion of the 2024 campaign, and while it will add a corner or two from the transfer portal, the Wolfpack must bring in a few high-quality prep players at the position.

Austin Pay, OT, Lone Peak, American Fork, UT

One of the most coveted offensive linemen in the country, Austin Pay will make a visit to Raleigh in the middle of a loaded month of officials that will also take him to Arkansas, Oregon and Texas A&M. NC State is a dark horse candidate in this race but Pay has a great comfort level with assistant coachGarett Tujague, who has strong ties in Utah.

Pay is the nation's No. 40 rated offensive tackle and No. 3 overall prospect in the state of Utah for the 2025 class, per the 247Sports rankings. His older brother, Connor, is at center at BYU and his other brother, Trevor, accepted a preferred walk-on spot with the Cougars as part of the 2022 class.

Preston Douglas, TE, The Benjamin School, North Palm Beach,FL

One of the latest additions to the official visitor list for the Wolfpack is a target that's high on the board at the tight end spot. According to the 6-foot-4, 220-pound Douglas, who's nearing 20 scholarship offers, NC State, Wake Forest, Florida State and Syracuse are showing the most interest.

Douglas made his first trip to Raleigh a few weeks ago and liked what he saw from the Wolfpack. His visit coincided with one of State's spring practices, which enabled him to get a good feel for the program. Now he'll make a return trip to Raleigh in a weekend loaded with talented out-of-state offensive players.

Andrew Stargel, OL, Roswell, GA

There will be a lot of Georgia boys in Raleigh on the weekend of June 14-16 and Andrew Stargel will certainly be one of the biggest. The 6-foot-4, 284-pound guard from Roswell is sandwiching the Wolfpack official in betweenOVs toOhio State and Kentucky, making the competition for the hog molly steep.

While it appears Ohio State is leading for Stargel at this time, he'll also see UCF this weekend and the Pack could have a chance to deviate his plans after he visits Orlando and Columbus, Ohio. It will be interesting to see how his recruitment unfolds in June and if he makes all of his officials before making a decision.

Gabe Daniels, ATH, Greater Atlanta Christian, Norcross, GA

Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian School playmakerGabe Danielsnarrowed his list to three schools: NC State,Kansasand Syracuse.

Daniels has made multiple trips to Raleigh during his recruitment, which have allowed him to get a good feel from the program. It's safe to say State's made a favorable impression on the Peach State receiver.

Now he'll return for an official visit with the Wolfpack as he looks to make a decision between the three schools. State will get the official just before Kansas, so it needs to make a big impression before he leaves for Lawrence the following weekend.

RJ Boyd, RB, Ware County, Waycross, GA

NC State offered Boyd in January, and similar to the fellow running backKentrell Rinehart, he immediately became a top target for the Wolfpack.

About six weeks after the Wolfpack pulled the trigger,Boyd toldPack Pridehe planned to make his college decision April 1. Then in late-March, he visited State andDukeon back-to-back days. By all accounts, both trips went very well. However after the visits, he elected to push his commitment date back.

The scholarship total for the 5-foot-10 1/2, 195-pound running back hasrisen to double digits, but NC State has long remained one of his top teams. With the Pack set to get an official in between visits to Duke and USF -- the other major contenders at this time -- State will look to close the deal if it can before he heads to the Sunshine State.

Chastan Brown, OT, Northside, Warner Robins, GA

Currently rated as the No. 188 overall player and No. 20 offensive tackle in the country, Chastan Brown is a hot commodity on the recruiting trail. Despite only having one year of high school football under his belt, Brown has landed 20-plus offers and has three official visits set for the next three weeks.

The 6-foot-7, 240-pound tackle will start his journey at UCF this weekend before heading to Louisville on June 7 then coming to Raleigh on June 14. He's also planning an official visit to Georgia and has shown interest in programs like Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and Auburn, so there's no telling how his recruitment will unfold at this time.

June 19-21

Jordan Young, SAF, Monroe, N.C.

One of the most talented defensive players in the country -- regardless of class -- will make a mid-week stop to Raleigh to visit with the Wolfpack. While the No. 128 player in the country and No. 12 safety appears to be a Clemson lean, the Pack isn't giving up the fight just yet.

The 6-foot, 184-pound playmaker from Monroe has been to Raleigh multiple times, including his latest trip back in late March for an unofficial. Simply put: Young's the Pack's top overall target. Landinghim would obviously be beneficialfor thefuture, but would immediately generate recruiting momentum nationally.

Cameron White, LB, Sumner, Riverview, FL

White's stock has exploded in recent months and he's nearing 30 scholarship offers. The Pack offered him last month and defensive coordinator and linebackers coachTony Gibsonquickly prioritized the 6-foot-1, 225-pound White.

Along with his trip to Raleigh, he'll also take officials toUCF,Louisville,Syracuseand likelyTennesseethis summer. During the 2023 season, White tallied 81 tackles, including 13 for loss and five sacks, a pass breakup, and two forced fumbles.

Jaiden Braker, EDGE, South Gwinnett, Snellville, GA

Similar to White, Braker, who was offered by State at the beginning of April, has emerged as one of the Wolfpack's top linebacker targets. He's also locked in official visits to South Carolina May 31-June 2, Utah June 15-17 and Rutgers June 8-10.

The 6-4, 210-pound Braker finished with 48 tackles, including four for loss, in eight games last season. Braker's approaching 20 offers and the Pack will look to make a huge impression before his recruitment continues to balloon.

Drayden Pavey, DL, Taft, Cincinnati, OH

While his recruitment has a very Big Ten feel to it, NC State has carved out a spot on Drayden Pavey's schedule for an official visit in the middle of June. The 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive lineman will visit Purdue on June 7, Wisconsin on June 14 and Indiana on June 21 with the Pack squeezed in between on June 19-21.

Charley Wiles has gone to Ohio to meet with Paveyand has clearly made him a high priority. If the Pack can stand out and key in on Pavey with just a few official visitors during his timeframe on campus, there's a chance it can emerge from the group and pull him further south.

Steve Miller, ATH, Greene County, Greensboro, GA

Much like Pavey, three-star athlete Steve Miller is sandwiching the Pack inside a tight window of official visits. That list includes Kansas on June 7, Mississippi State on June 14 and West Virginia on June 21 with State getting him on campus in between trips to Starkville and Morgantown.

Miller appears to be a Kansas lean heading into the month of June, but the Pack could move in on the safety target with the mid-week visit. On a week where the Pack will prioritize the defensive side of the class before hosting a loaded offensive group, Miller could be a name to know on the safeties board.

June 21-23

Will Wilson, QB, Richland Northeast, Columbia, S.C. (Committed)

Every year there's one monster weekend for official visitors, and this year it appears to be June 21-23. The Wolfpack will host its two 2025 commits on the offensive side of the football, and none is bigger than Will Wilson -- State's quarterback commit in the class.

Wilson has been committed to State for nearly one year and will be the player every offensive target needs to familiarize themselves with when they come to Raleigh. The 6-foot-1, 225-pound dual-threat QB is a talented player and an impressive young man that will undoubtedly be a lead recruiter for the weekend just as much as Dave Doeren and the assistants.

Gus Ritchey, TE, Northwood, Pittsboro, N.C. (Committed)

While Wilson will be at the top of the list -- quarterbacks are kinda important, right? -- Gus Ritchey is right up there when it comes to the in-state players. Ritchey is a charismatic tight end with the skill to back it up, coming in at 6-foot-3 1/2 and 241 pounds when he measured in at this time last year.

The former UNC commit will certainly have some sway with the in-state recruits along with receivers, but he's also tied in with several of the top recruits in other states. And with history as a blocker on the edge of the offensive line along with being a defensive end, he'll be a key cog in the Pack's recruiting efforts on an important weekend.

Shamarius Peterkin, WR, Mount Tabor, Winston-Salem, N.C.

One of the most talented wideouts in the entire country, Shamarius Peterkin has been a long-time target for the Wolfpack dating back to the 2022 season. He was officially offered by the Pack in January 2023, with other national programs like Georgia, Tennessee, Florida State, Miami and several others jumping in the mix since.

NC State has the Crystal Ball lead for Peterkin heading into June, but will face stiff competition from UNC and Virginia Tech, with the Hokies set to host himon May 31 for the first OV. Thoseaforementioned national programs are working to get heavily in the mix for the Top247 receiver, so the Pack will need to make a strong impression during his time back in Raleigh.

Arrion Concepcion, WR, Julius L. Chambers, Charlotte, N.C.

Let me tell you about this wideout from Charlotte with the last name Concepcion who is currently rated as a three-star prospect on 247Sports. No, this isn't KC all over again, it's Arrion Concepcion -- and he might as much of a playmaker as his older brother.

Coming in at 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, the younger Concepcion is underrated much like Kevin was coming out of high school. But with electric speed, excellent route running and clear ties to the Wolfpack with the ACC Freshman of the Year being his brother that's currently on the roster, the Pack is hoping to seal the deal and turn him into another recruiterin the Charlotte area.

Malik Clark, WR, Rock Hill, S.C.

Have we mentioned there will be playmakers in Raleigh on the final weekend of official visitors for the Pack? Though he's from just inside South Carolina, Malik Clark has been just as big of a priority for State's staff as any in-state recruit and is in a battle with UNC-Chapel Hill and South Carolina for his services.

Currently, the Wolfpack will be the final official visit for Clark on June 21 with a trip to South Carolina on May 31 and Chapel Hill on June 7. The Tar Heels hold the Crystal Ball lean with two predictions thus far, but can the Pack sway him back to the red and white on a big official visit weekend?

Jerel Bolder, ATH, Forest Hills, Marshville, N.C.

NC State offeredJerel Boldertwo years ago, and since pulling the trigger, the Wolfpack has constantly prioritized the Marshville (N.C.) Forest Hills receiver. Over time, he ascended to the top of its wide receiver recruiting board, and the interest is mutual.

According to Bolder, State,Virginia,DukeandSouth Carolinaare the main schools in the mix. He also mentioned Ohio State's recently shown increased interest and that he'll camp in Columbus next month. It appears Georgia is also sniffing around after he recently took a visit to Athens.

However, with a summer decision on tap, the Pack will try to close things out with the final official visit scheduled after he goes to Virginia then Duke in June. Virginia Tech is also trying to get an official at some point, but the Crystal Ball has the Pack as the favorite entering the critical month.

Isaac Sowells Jr., OL, Male, Louisville, KY

With an NFL lineage after his father, Isaac Sowells Sr., was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2006 out of Indiana, "Spike" Sowells has been a long-time target for the Pack. State recently landed inside his Top 5 schools and is one of four schools to receive an official visit to this point.

He'll head to South Carolina on May 31 before going to Kentucky, Miami then NC State in the three subsequent weekends. With Garett Tujague making Sowells a priority from the start and remaining consistent with him throughout the process, Sowells is one of two linemen in this critical weekend we feel good about entering June.

Michael Gibbs, OL, John T Hoggard, Wilmington, N.C.

The other lineman we feel good about? Michael Gibbs out of Wilmington, who already has a Crystal Ball in for the Pack.

NC State was the first PowerFour program to offer Wilmington (N.C.) Hoggard offensive linemanMichael Gibbs, and as soon as the Wolfpack pulled the trigger, he became a top target.Arguably the biggest reason State's emerged as contender for the Hoggard standout is his relationship with Wolfpack offensive line coach and lead recruiterGarett Tujague.

To date, he's scheduled official visits to Virginia Tech June 7-9, Duke June 14-16 and State June 21-23.He's a high three-star prospect, nation's No. 56 interior offensive lineman and 22nd-ranked player in North Carolinaaccording to 247Sports.

Kentrell Rinehart, RB, Westland, Galloway, OH

Another Ohio native coming to Raleigh, only this time it's a running back instead of a defensive lineman thanks to the recruiting efforts of Todd Goebbel. The Westland standout announced he will make his college commitment July 5 at 5:30 p.m. in his high school gymnasium.

But before making his decision, Rinehart will take official visits. He's scheduled trips to Minnesota June 8, Syracuse June 14, Iowa June 19 and NC State June 21. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound totaled 2,837 yards and 42 touchdowns as a junior and has shown major interest in the Pack, who will look to close the deal on his final official visit.

Dior Garner, DL, McKinley, Canton, OH

Speaking of Ohio, another official visitor expected on campus during the Pack's big weekend will be Dior Garner out of Canton. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound lineman doesn't hold an offer from State to this point, but will likely earn one during the visit to add to a list of Group of 5 schools currently in his recruitment.

Garner has seen his recruitment pick up recently, but is still waiting on major Power Four interest at this point. If the Pack becomes the first, it could put the program in the driver's seat for a developmental player who could have serious upside in the future.

Omarian Abraham, DT, American Heritage, Fort Lauderdale, FL

NC State is once again dipping heavily into the Florida pipeline with Omarian Abraham being one of the final players to lock in an official visit in June. The 6-foot-1, 275-pound lineman is right up Charley Wiles' alley as an undersized defensive tackle and has flown under the radar with offers from Temple, USF, Akron and Coastal Carolina thus far.

He has kept a close eye on the Wolfpack with several players from Heritage playing for the Pack in the past and one currently on the roster. With the Pack hosting several linemen throughout the month before Garner and Abraham come on campus, the duo might be more coveted by the end of June than they are at the start.

Serious Stinyard, CB, Gaither, Tampa, FL

One of the busiest players in the country in the month of June, Serious Stinyard will make his first stop in West Virginia this weekend before heading to Raleigh for potentially his final visit before his commitment. He's expected to take officials to Kansas State, Kansas and South Florida and possibly more before he makes a decision on July 13.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound cornerback from Tampa holds double-digit offers and has been a major priority for Brian Mitchell throughout his recruitment. With a decision coming just a couple weeks after his OV, the Pack will need to close strong during his time in Raleigh and keep a lead before he announces.
