Buddy of a residentStichting Vitalis woonzorg groepWithin Vitalis Vonderhof we have a buddy project. This was started because several residents could use some extra attention and fun. As a buddy you are linked to a resident. You plan your appointments together with the resident and your contact person, usually this is 1 or 2 times a week and the visits last 1.5 hours. Depending on the needs of the resident, you will agree on what the visit will look like. For example, people often go for a walk, play a game or drink a cup of coffee on our terrace.Do you want to become a buddy and really mean something to someone else? Then respond now! Wednesday afternoon walking club!Stichting Vitalis woonzorg groepVitalis Vonderhof is a hip nursing home located between the center of Eindhoven and Strijp. Here we dare to think out of the box and no activity is crazy for us. Every Wednesday afternoon we go for a walk with a nice club of volunteers and residents. Sometimes to the park, sometimes to the ice cream parlor or the city. We could use some reinforcement here. The more volunteers, the more residents can join us for a breath of fresh air! You'll be here around 13:30/13:45 for collection and we're usually back at 4:00 PM.Would you like to take a walk with us to see if it's something for you? Thursday afternoon to the city with residents!Stichting Vitalis woonzorg groepVitalis Vonderhof is a hip house located between the center of Eindhoven and Strijp. Here we dare to think out of the box and no activity is crazy for us. We think it is important that residents have as much opportunity as possible to go out and enjoy themselves! That is why we (among other things) go for a walk into the city every Thursday afternoon with a nice group of volunteers and residents. For example, people can browse some shops, do some shopping or sit on a terrace if they want. We could use some reinforcement here. The more volunteers, the more residents can join us for a breath of fresh air and a shopping afternoon! What should you do? You will be here around 1:30/1:45 PM to gather. We then walk together with residents and volunteers to the city where we split up (depending on the resident's wishes) so that everyone can visit what they want in the city. But among people over 85 years old, 66% say they feel lonely. As a volunteer you can make a difference. By doing things together and paying attention. This activity is all about Vitamin A of Attention. Doing good makes you happy, and it works both ways. For you and the elderly.Vitalis likes to work with companies. Your employees and extra hands, attention and resources make it possible for our residents to enjoy a special outing. Frequently heard wishes are: trips to the zoo, museum or beach. Imagine that years ago you were with your feet in the sea... because you always depend on someone else to go there. That could be the situation for the elderly people you take out for a day at the beach. We need your company and helping hands to assist with a special wheelchair for the beach and guide them to the water.We also have plenty of wishes closer to home: DAF museum, Philips museum, a tour of the PSV stadium, Van Gogh museum Nuenen, Castle Garden Arcen, Dierenrijk Nuenen, a boat trip in the Biesbosch, the Boerenbont Museum, Prehistoric Village or an animal farm on the Vitalis location with, for example, Roels Beestenboel or a dance afternoon with Het DansPaleis at one of our locations.Vitalis provides the script and of course professional guidance for the activity.
