Contact Don 306-270-9776 EVANS, Pauline Mary Feb 19, 1932 Apr 17, 2024 Pauline Evans passed away peacefully on April 17th, 2024. Pauline was born on February 19th, 1932, in Teddington, Middlesex, England to Reginald and Dorothy Evans. As a young woman, she worked with British Overseas Airways Corporation, which facilitated her love of travel. Her tendency to walk everywhere, well into her 80s, was likely instilled in her by her many walks with her dog, Judy, in Bushy Park and Hampton Court, lovely green spaces that were close to her home during her growing up years. In 1964, Pauline moved to Canada following her cousin, Michael Stoneham, and she continued living and working in Saskatoon for the rest of her life.

She originally worked as a secretary with the Fire Service before joining the National Research Council where she worked until her early retirement. Pauline kept busy during snowy Saskatoon winters with activities such as square dancing, bridge and skating. She had many vacations in England visiting family and accompanied Michael and his wife, Olwen, on trips within Canada and the United States. She was a long-time member of the congregation of St. John's Anglican Church and was an active member of the choir for many years.

Pauline was pre-deceased by her parents Reg and Dot, as well as by her sister, Margaret, brother-in-law, Ian Hawkins, and cousin, Michael Stoneham. She is survived by her niece, Nicola Wood (Chris), great nephew, Alexander, great niece, Eleanor, and by her cousin-in-law, Olwen Stoneham, her children and their families. Pauline spent many years at gatherings with her extended family in Saskatoon and she will be remembered, and sadly missed, at future gatherings. Pauline's funeral will be held on Saturday May 11th, 2024, at 2:00 pm at St. John's Anglican Cathedral, 816 Spadina Crescent Saskatoon, Sk.

MCGONIGLE, Janet Alma October 9, 1948 May 1, 2024 The family of Janet Alma McGonigle is saddened to announce her passing on May 1, 2024 from complications due to her long battle with Parkinson disease. Janet quietly and comfortably passed away surrounded by her loving husband, Gordon and children. Janet was an amazing woman, loved and respected by many.

Her passion for music led her to be involved in so many parts of peoples' lives, as a teacher, mentor, adjudicator, volunteer, speaker, and being a part of a greater music community in Saskatchewan. She was rewarded for all the efforts in teaching piano, theory, music history and harmony by seeing the success and accomplishments of her students whether it was to continue a career in music or to integrate their love of music into their lives. She was born October 9, 1948 in Calgary, Alberta to Elspeth and Norman Teale. Janet was raised and completed her nursing degree in Calgary, before moving to Saskatoon where she continued her career in nursing. She married Gordon in 1972 and they had two children, Reid and Erin.

After having her children, Janet made the decision to be at home more with her family and made a career change that would change her life forever. She completed her piano associate degree with the guidance and teaching of Sheila Shinkewski. She began taking a few piano students after school which evolved into a career full of friendship, community, and passion for music. This would be her greatest love, after the love of her family. Janet is survived by her husband, best friend, travel and adventure partner of 51 years, Gordon; mother, Elspeth Brookes; son, Reid (Darcie) and their children, William and Martha; daughter, Erin (Rick) Davis and Erin's children, Shaquille, Jocasta and Mikhyan.

She was predeceased by her father, Norman Teale; and her sister, Lois Aquilini. She will be missed by her wonderful friends from childhood, nursing school, neighbours and the music community. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Road), in Saskatoon.
