The Spark of Imagination is the second plot chapter of the "A Rift in Time" expansion. It continues the story of Eternity Isle and Jafar's plans to rule it. Players can explore some strange new ruins, upgrade their Royal Hourglass to a new power level, and befriend the classic character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit!

Things To Do Before Starting Act II

Before starting the Act II story of "A Rift in Time" featured in the Sparks of Imagination update, you should complete the Act I story quests up until the point where Jafar seals himself within his palace. These are:

• The Port of Many Worlds (Merlin)
• The Secrets of Eternity Isle (Jafar)
• The Flying Metal Nuisance (Jafar/EVE)
• The Sands in the Hourglass (Jafar)
• The Wanderer of the Dunes (Gaston)
• The Wild Tangle's Swarm (Gaston)
• The Ancient Door (Rapunzel)
• The Sundial (Rapunzel)
• The Tower (Rapunzel)
• Diamond in the Rough (Gaston)
• Your Eternal Reward (Jafar)

In addition, it is recommended that you unlock all Biomes in Eternity Isle so that you can access all areas of the island as needed for Act II quests.

While the following Quests are not required to start the Spark of Imagination plot line, they are highly recommended because they will help make traversing and completing tasks on Eternity Isle much easier.

• Village Project: Timeless Trash (Merlin)
• Village Project: Timeless Treasure (Merlin)
• Village Project: Timeless Tools (Merlin)
• Give Me A Sign (Goofy)
• A Garden In The Desert (Scrooge McDuck)

These Quests will upgrade your Royal Tools so that they can deal with every type of trash and obstacle that appears on Eternity Isle, as well as opening all of Goofy's Stall locations so that you can access every type of Eternity Isle seed.

Act II Story Quests

Act II's story quests kick off not on Eternity Isle itself, but by talking to Merlin inside his House. He will reveal that the Spark of Imagination, which holds the power to reshape Dreamlight Valley, is sealed within a ruined temple on the Isle. To locate the Spark and keep it out of Jafar's hands, you will need to complete the following Quests:

• The Sunken Ruins (Merlin)
• Hero Pose (Gaston)
• All The Right Notes (Rapunzel)
• Does Not Compute (EVE)
• With A Bit Of Help From Your Friends (Merlin)
• The Spark of Imagination (Oswald)
• The Monochrome Mystery (Merlin)

New Villager: Oswald The Lucky Rabbit

One of Disney's oldest and most classic characters, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is the newest Villager to make his way to Eternity Isle. Oswald moves in after you have completed the Quest The Spark of Imagination. From there, you can befriend him, give him Gifts, assign him a Role, and much more. Oswald comes with the following Friendship Quests:

• Oswald's Many Dimensions
• An Alarming Development
• A co*ckamamie Contest
• Erratic Transportation

New Toon Critters

After you complete the Story Quests up through The Monochrome Mystery, special black-and-white Toon versions of the Capybara, Monkey, and Cobra critters will appear on Eternity Isle. They are always around and have the same behavior patterns and Loved/Liked Foods as other Critters of their type. If you feed these Toon Critters enough, you can unlock all three as animal Companions!

Royal Hourglass Level 4 Upgrade

With the latest update, you can now upgrade your Royal Hourglass to level 4. This (as of now) final upgrade costs 20,000 Mist, and unlocks the following:

• New Timebending Parts: Ancient Handle, Ancient Hook, and Ancient Screw
• New Ancient Part Furniture recipes using these Level 4 parts
• New Fragments that can be assembled into iconic furniture pieces from The Little Mermaid, Encanto, and more!

New Timebending Table Function: Transmutation

You can now use the Timebending Table to Transmute Ancient Cores, Ancient Parts, Fragments, and Gifts into other items of the same type. To do this, first Dismantle the objects you don't need into colorful Dust. Then, use that Dust plus some Mist to Upcycle them into brand-new components!

You can only Transmute Timebending items into other items of the same type. For example, Ancient Parts can be dismantled into Purple Dust to make other Ancient Parts, while Ancient Cores make Blue Dust that can then become new Ancient Cores.

New Scramblecoin Figurines & Extended Scramblecoin Rewards

There are now four new pieces available to use when playing Scramblecoin. They are:

• Daisy Duck - Lands on other figurines' spaces and knocks them back
• Mike Wazowski - Allows other figurines to collect more coins at once
• Oswald the Lucky Rabbit - Can move up to four spaces in one turn
• Sulley - Pushes opponent's figurines away, collecting coins as he does so

All four of these figurines are unlocked by earning points via playing Scramblecoin against other Villagers. (They are unlocked randomly, so the order you receive them will be random.) The maximum number of points before you stop unlocking Scramblecoin rewards has been increased from 300 to 500.
